A Pennsylvania firefighter was injured in partial roof collapse while battling a 3-alarm school blaze early Wednesday.
The fire broke out shortly before 3:30 a.m. at the Sacred Heart School in Allentown, WTXF-TV reports. Because of the narrow streets around the school, firefighters were forced to use the roof of a nearby building to battle the flames.
A mayday call was issued when the roof of the school partially collapsed and injured a firefighter. He was pulled from the burning school, and medics who evaluated him at the scene said he's expected to recover, according to WTXF.
